I have recently focused on developing clarinet playing skills, gaining a Grade 4 qualification with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
It is an instrument with tremendous range, both in terms of pitch and tone colour, offering a richness and energy that is to be found over a wide spectrum of music from the Romantic period to the modern repertoire and offers a vibrant field of opportunity to anyone wishing to engage with and explore the instrument.
I have also experience of teaching the clarinet, both through the Southern Education and Library Board Music Service in Northern Ireland and with private students in the Bristol area.
After a very long gap, I took up playing music again. As time went on Trevor would introduce more musically challenging pieces. The thing to say about Trevor is he knows his stuff. His qualifications and experience enable him to put his teaching into context, thus making it more effective.
